Sheldon, Mr. Bear's looks similar but this is the one I bought and works great!

Thank you Scott. Did you ever get back in the air?

It's ready. It's just so dang hot down here, it's hard to get the motivation to go back out. I did a test run on the new 235 and it ran perfect. Shut it down, refueled the jet and it flooded so I decided to completely dry it out and try another day. Barry gave me a new parameter so I'll test run it at home, possibly tonight.

Good luck when you do go out. It's hot here but the real issue is the crazy wind this year. 35 mph on a regular basis, of course always on weekends when I can fly....

Sorry just seeing this, been on some heavy travel. Here is what I use..shows "unavailable" right now, but sure there is another place other than Amazon to get one or one like it. I like the self leveling feature. It was about $40.

I am in Denver about every other week on a project right now. Doing an acquisition on a company in Centennial for some investors. Finished the sale of a large Waste Management Co back in October that was in Englewood.

Anyone have the measurement from the center of Main Gear to back of wing tube? Using the Xicoy CG tool and would love if someone has this measurement!!!

I have the plane assembled on my workbench and I am the only one home, so I would prefer help on this if at all possible!

Please advise.

Thanks!

The problem is each Max is slightly different and depends on where you want the CG in relation to the rear of the tube. I have mine at 20mm aft and my measurement and Jack's measurement was 5mm different with the same CG. I can give you mine but I HIGHLY recommend you get your plane's measurements.

Yea, the more I thought about it, just slipped the wing apart from fuse enough to slide a framing square between the wing and fuse. Marked the back of the tube on top of the bench…All good

Ok, so CG is done. I ran it at exactly behind the wing tube showing a tad tail heavy. Ran it 10mm back from the wing tube and I am on the dot. The whole fuel cell is forward of the CG, so there is that. When I had my Rebel Pro, I ran an old JetCat P-200 for 10 minutes and had 1/3 of a tank left after landing. This has a JC Mammoth 250, so I imagine the same will happen.

Will do the turbine start up this week and maybe in the next few weeks will get this in the air.

Did you do the balance with some fuel in the tank?
The max will need more power longer than your Pro, so don’t be surprised if flight time is not as long! Although it’s lightly loaded there is a lot of aeroplane to get going from slow flight.

I've been doing 7.5 minute flights with the 235 and have about 1/3 of a tank remaining. Sneak up on that longer flight. This thing deadsticks like a dream but if you don't need to, that's better.

I will maiden mine at 5mm behind the wing tube. Had to move some items around to keep ECU battery under 24" from pump unit. Should get this bad boy in the air in the next few weeks.

HA! I knew you'd wind up getting one!! Congrats. I love that scheme! Watching it on YouTube, it's an easy scheme to pick out.

I love the colour swap should be easy to see on overcast days , she is beautiful, and the 235 will haul it around very well.
Love it.

thanks! Scott, from the time I saw the video of Ray’s max flown at Florida Jets in that scheme I knew that was gonna be it! The difference between mines and Rays is the big Rebel logo on the bottom of the wings and the Stabs got the same pattern as the wings instead of just all black.

thanks Russell ! I like how my pro flies with the 180 at least at my very small flying field, so the max with the 235 should be about right for me.

Guys, those of you who ordered gear directly from electron how long did it take? Did you get a Shippin notice, tracking etc?
I ordered October 27 haven’t heard anything from them.

Just send Adrián an email….they probably have to assemble it, I have purchases a few set direct, before JAG RC pick up the line…

Just curious, is there an advantage to ordering the gear directly from Electron? I ordered mine through CARF as part of the Max order along with pipe, tank, etc. The retracts were dropped shipped months before I received the airframe.

I got mine from Greg (JAG RC) and there were cheaper, plus I have US support. If you get from CARF you will need to send back to Electron if anyhing goes wrong or needs repair.

Thanks, Sheldon. I wasn't aware of the US support vs factory direct. I wonder if they are any cheaper now that 1 Euro = 1 Dollar.

Default Flight times with 235

That's pretty close to what I'm getting with 8 mins on the timer. I also setup an alarm on the Core/VSpeak to alert me at 3 litre remaining, 2 litre, then land immediately at the 1 litre mark. My field is just over 6000 ft elevation and the 235 gives the Max plenty of vertical for the uplines and manageable residual thrust on landing. I think it's the sweet spot for my type of flying!
