Does the connector lock in really nice after connecting both the ends?
I do see the locks on the end of the pins, hoping it locks in real tight.

I am going to use the powerbox standard premium cables (not the maxi) i see they are quite thin and i will have to add a heatshrink to make the wire diameter bigger to be able to crimp on the pins.

Yeah, these lock/clip in really nicely on both ends. To me, they are some of the best quality connectors I've tried. I can connect/disconnect them with one hand while holding the wing. I plan to use the smaller APM connectors (8-10 pins) on future projects. The 20-24awg pins and socket I listed crimped fine with Powerbox standard premium cables (that's what I also used).

Do you know if Aeropanda pins are same size as the ones you have used?
I will order from whichever seems most feasible.

I'm not positive what size pins they have included in the Aeropanda set, but I suspect it's the same size I used. Digikey does offer several sizes, so you may be able to find a better fit depending on the gauge of wire used. Also, I still need to get the AMP pin removal tool. It's near impossible to remove the pins once locked into the housing without destroying them. Unfortunately the pin removal tool is rather expensive.

Oh yes, the gauge is 20-24, I'll fix the typo in my other post.

I used the standard premium cable all throughout my UF and it works perfect. I also used a 24 pin AMP connector for my wing connections and it also has been great. Both highly recommended.

The AMP crimp tool is kind of hard to find in stock right now, I'm currently borrowing one from a friend.

Looks like digikey actually has the crimpers in stock...

Cockpit decals were spare Tailormade stickers from other models, think mainly CARF BAE Hawk 1:5.3
Pilot I cannot remember the manufacture, it’s like an MGA that BVM used to sell, but simpler

The tank is held by a wood cross plate and velcro , I could slide it forward or backwards , thus my question.

You'll find dozens of build pics in this thread. The tank needs to go all the way forward, if you try to mount it further back it will not fit correctly

Actually using the better, lighter original tank, it is designed to be 10mm back from the flange-if you are using the cockpit tub you need that for tube clearance on the tub. Also most UF are nose heavy, so that helps the tiniest bit.
